Jesus is the Word

You don’t have to have a lot to do a lot.

How do you start your day? What do you say to yourself? Is this new day enough? Are you enough? How you speak determines how you feel. Remember, Jesus is the Word.

How will you spend the coming days, weeks, and quite possibly months in close quarters with the people in your house or apartment? Will you speak words of encouragement over one another or will you discourage one another with fear based thinking? Will you speak words of love or will you allow frustration and anger to rule over your words? This moment we find ourselves in could be a defining moment for us as a people and for the future of our world.

At the heart of it, we must understand the importance of starting each and every day in the Word of God and in prayer. Pray big. Dream big. Let faith rise out over your space and allow God to reveal His perspective over your circumstances.

Now is the time for BIG prayers not just for ourselves but for everyone. Remember, God is for everyone. But first, read Matthew 8:5-13. It’s the story of a Centurion who understood the power of words and who’s faith was so big it not only amazed Jesus but it resulted in a healing. Jesus had never performed a miracle in this way. He wasn’t physically present nor did he touch or pray over this individual. He spoke a word from a distance and the person was healed.

Challenge. Instead of me writing the prayer this time, I’m asking you to speak your own prayer. Pray for everyone you know who is dealing with a hardship right now. Loss of job. Depression. Loss of faith. Stuck in an abusive situation. The list goes on and on... Pray positive, powerful words over everyone you know and ask Jesus to heal and rescue these people with his words. This is big faith.
